Corrine & Kevin - October 23rd, 2011

Corrine and Kevin were married at the Sibson Inn, nr Peterborough.  A lovely old coaching inn on the Great North Road.  I wonder if Dick Turpin stayed there? Their wedding was a small family affair with a lot of laughter.  Corrine and Kavin had their tandem bike there - great photos! After a lovely ceremony it was outside in the sun for the photos, then back inside for the cake cut and I was finished.  Thank you to a lovely bride & groom.

Sandra & Daniel - October 10th, 2011

Sandra & Daniel married at St Oswalds church in Peterborough and held their reception at the lovely Orton Hall, Peterborough.  I was with Sandra for her preps in the morning at Orton Hall, then off to meet the lads at the church.  The sun was shining and the bride arrived a Ford Shelby!  After the ceremony it was back to Orton Hall for the photographs, especially with the cars! Then my day was finished.

Katie & Gavin - Ocotober 15th, 2011

The marriage of Katie & Gavin.  A full day for me today from preps in Ely through to the first dance.  From Ely it was over to Huntingdon Marriot Hotel for the ceremony and reception.  The sun was shining and I thought it was quite warm but the girls were feeling the cold a little.  Katie arrived in a Range Rover, very posh! looking amazing and Gavin was well groomed (no pun intended! :-)).  Both Katie and Gavin were quite nervous, which added to the photos during the ceremony.  It was outside again for the group photos etc with a great bouquet throw. Speeches, cake cut and first dance done and I was away home.  Another very enjoyable day.

Sunday 9 October 2011

Christina & Gary - September 24th, 2011

Off to Romford this morning for the wedding of Christina and Gary.  Christina's preps where at Gary's parents house, and a big thank you to them for their hospitality.  From the preps it was off to the Old Plough Inn a few miles outside of Romford for the ceremony and wedding breakfast.  I arrived there early to make sure I got some great photos of the lads arriving in an authentic american MR T's (from the TV series A Team) vehicle.  What an entrance boys! Christina looked stunning on her arrival.  After the ceremony it was outside in the sunshine for the group photos etc, followed by a dove release which always makes for good photos.  Back inside for the wedding breakfast, speeches, then outside in the dark to do some fantastic photos around the grounds, inside again for the cake cut and first dance.  Another amazing day done and I'm off home.

Nicola & Ashley - September 23rd, 2011

A full day for me today.  Nicola's preps were Haddenham this morning from which I took some great shots.  Then off to Ely Cathedral for the ceremony.  The cathedral is always a fantastic place for a wedding, the light is incredible inside and was able to take (discretely) photos during the whole ceremony again, which is quite a privilege.  Some pre-ceremony photos with Ashley and then outside for Nicola's arrival in the hot sunshine.  After the ceremony it was onto the green around the cathedral for the formal photos etc then down to the Maltings in Ely by the river for the wedding breakfast.  The Maltings had been transformed again.  I took the B&G into Jubilee Gardens for the some photos which was fun, then back to the Maltings for the wedding breakfast, the speeches, cake cut and first dance.

Julie & Mark - September 17th, 2011

What a glorious day for the wedding of Julie and Mark at Bedford Lodge, Newmarket.  I was booked for just the ceremony today and photos afterwards of course!  Julie and Mark were a real pleasure to be with and although they weren't looking forward to being photographed we had a laugh and got some really great photos.  Thank you both for being so friendly and such fun to be with.

Rachel & Jamie - September 10th, 2011

Rachel and Jamie were married at Lt Downham Church, nr Ely.  No rain for a change! Pre-cermony photos went well, brides arrival went well and Rachel positively beaming.  A great ceremony where I was able to stand at the front to take some photos.  After the ceremony we took some group shots around the church, did the confetti throw (which I love to do!) and then off to the Maltings in Ely for the wedding breakfast.  We did the bride and groom photos along the waterside and in Jubilee Gardens while the sun was shining.  The speeches were very funny!  Went back down by the river to do some amazing photos in the dark with the moon in the background.  Back inside for the cake cut and the first dance, then off home for me.  A long and terrific day for me.

Jessica & Daniel - September 3rd, 2011

Jessica's preps were at Timbers Hotel nr Downham Market, so off I went.  Then back to Ely St Mary's church for the ceremony which was good as I was able to take some photos during the ceremony.  Yhe groups photos and confetti throw done and it was back to Timbers Hotel for the wedding breakfast.  More group photos and marquee photos etc, cake cut and some details images and I was finished.  Back to Ely.

Laura & James - August 27th, 2011

Laura's preps were at her hairdressers in Biggleswade this morning, which felt a bit strange to me! Ladies hairdressers aren't a place I go to often :-)  After the preps it was off to the church which was only a short way down the road.  After the brides arrival and some photos at the church, it was off to the Felix Hotel in Cambridge for the reception.  Again it was raining and the photos had to be done inside.  The wedding breakfast room looked amazing again.  Laura and James have a very large sense of humour and we had a good laugh and a lot of fun doing the photos!

Frances & Jason - August 26th, 2011

Preps to start of the wedding breakfast for me today.  The preps were in Mildenhall.  Frances and the girls looked amazing, bright colours which always photograph well.  Off to the church at Barton Mills for the ceremony and some photos.  It had been raining but was dry for the brides arrival.  After the ceremony Frances and Joson's dog was brought in for some photos, which was great. Then off to South Farm at Shingay-Cum-Wendy nr Royston.  It was wet again and so the photos had to be done inside! It was a great day and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Georgina & Jamie - August 20th, 2011

Georgina and the girls were getting ready at Beales Hotel in Hatfield this morning, which is also the venue for the wedding breakfast.  From the preps I was off to Queenswood School Chapel for the ceremony.  Fabulous chapel and grounds. Unfortunately it was raining most of the time.  After the ceremony, we managed a few photos outside before the rain started again. But we did get the opportunity to do the bride and groom photos in the sunshine, which a bit of luck.  Back to Beales Hotel for some more photos, detail shots of the wedding breakfast room and tables etc and the cake cut and I was finished for the day.

Laura & Matt - August 13th, 2011

I was with Laura for her preps in the morning at her parents house.  Gorgeous flowers and dresses and so much going on.  The little bridesmaids were very excited! After the prep photos I was off to Slepe Hall, St Ives for the ceremony and wedding breakfast.  Everyone was very relaxed and loads of jokes going on.  Laura looked amazing.  The ceremony was soon over, the photos done, the wedding breakfast over a load more candid photos, the cake cut and it was time for the first dance!  An amazing day with some great photos.

Ellise & Paul - August 6th, 2011

Off to Upshire today for the wedding of Ellise & Paul.  Both are serving in the forces and I'm always especially pleased to photograph the wedding of anyone that serves in our armed forces.  I was with Ellise in the morning for her preps, which was a very relaxed time! Ellise just kept smiling, which is good. The ceremony was held in the old church of St Thomas in Upshire.  After the ceremony and photos we were off the reception - which was just across the road.  A few more photos and some detail shots and I was finished for the day.  Thank you so much to you both.  I really enjoyed my time with you.

Nicole & Jason - August 4th, 2011

Bedford Lodge, Newmarket was the venue for Nicole & Jason's wedding today.  Always a pleasure to work there.  The weather was not so good as it was raining most of time I was there.  I was still a great day and we took the photos inside and made good use of the venue.  It was small and very friendly wedding ceremony and we had quite a laugh.

Jessica & Daniel - July 31st pre-day photoshoot

It was a very sunny day today for the environmental photo-shoot of Jess & Dan.  We went to Pocket Park in Ely which is a very relaxing open space, not to busy and not to quite either.  An hour or so later and we had some amazing photos in the bag!  One of which they choose for a signing board during the wedding breakfast.

Keren & Matthew - July 30th, 2011

Thomas A' Beckett church, Ramsey.  A church steeped in history along side of the former Ramsey Abbey, now in ruins. I was with Keren in the morning for the brides preps and she had an old Aston Martin open top to go the church in style.  It was a lovely ceremony and I captured some great moments during the ceremony.  After the groups photos we were off to Sleepe Hall in St Ives. A very relaxed day with a lot more candid photos, the wedding breakfast speeches and then the cake cut and first dance.  A busy day but a great one.  Thank you Keren and Matt for your hospitality during the day.

Natalie & Michael - July 23rd, 2011

Natalie & Michael were married at the lovely church of St Andrew's in Witchford, Near Ely this morning with the reception being held in the same village at Needhams Restuarant. A great day with some fun as well.

Welcome to our new block interface

I felt an update was needed for the blog again.  This meant that a new blog address had to be used, so the past blogs can no longer be read, which is a bit if a pain.  I think the new look interface is a vast improvement though.
